DANCE-A-THON

On Thursday, October 31,  students in JK-Grade 8 will be participating in a school dance-a-thon.

Students received  an envelope/pledge form on Friday, October 11. Individual student pledge forms are due to the classroom teacher on  Wednesday, October 30. For every $5 pledged, students will receive one ballot and for every $10 pledged, students will receive three ballots.  Ballots will be  put towards a prize of their choice.  We will have a variety of prizes geared toward different age groups.  As well, we will have school wide prizes that our students can win if we reach our target goals! Students will receive their ballots on  November 1, 2024.  On November 1st and 4th, individual classes will bring their students down to the front foyer where students will have the opportunity to place their ballots towards the prizes. 

Child{ren) benefit from their donation in many ways.  Our overall intention is to enhance the education of our children by making it a more meaningful and enjoyable experience. We hope to fund the following initiatives this school year:

~Bullying Prevention and Intervention Presentations/Programs, Transportation for school events such as  Cross Country, Track and Field and/ or Sacramental Excursions for Grade 2 and 7, Outdoor Classroom                                                             

The allotted times for each division and their dance times are presented below.  Parents are invited.

Kindergarten: 9:20am-10:10am

Grades 1-2/3:  10:45 am -11:45 am

Grades 3/4-6: 1:00pm-2:00 pm

RECESS: 2:00pm-2:15 pm

Grades 7-8: 2:15 pm-3:15 pm

We expect this day to be a fun and exciting day for our students. Students and staff are encouraged to wear their costumes and/or black and orange clothing.  For safety precautions, we recommend that students not wear masks.  Weapons or replicas of weapons are not permitted.  We ask that all costumes be appropriate.

A reminder to all parents that NO candy, treats, baked goods etc. are permitted for distribution to other student(s) and/or /classmate(s).  Your intentions may be good, but safety comes first and we cannot risk any adverse or life threatening reactions, should a student with an allergy come into contact with any food item.
